Copy scene

Hi.
I post this suggestion, but I don't know if other users will find it useful (as I do). I would like to be able to copy a scene. Although I can use a saved avatar, it doesn't maintain size, positioning and player. Copying a scene would allow us to simply change audio and background.

This feature actually exists, but is not immediately obvious.

When you click the 'Add New Scene' button on at the top of the 'Scene List' you are give the option to create as an existing scene or to create as new.

If you select the create as existing option you are given a full list of your already created scenes.

This feature was added a few months ago when we removed the limit on the number of scenes that paid subscriptions can create.

We updated our user interface to make "Copy Scene" a separate option. I believe this improves usability for everyone.

Thank you for adding this feature. I just used it and it did save time. I needed the exact same scene on two separate web sites, but located in a different area on the page.

Hi Everyone,
It took me one hour to copy a scene. The SitePals servers seem to always be too busy. My sitepal on my website only works sometimes, I believe because it cannot connect to the sitepal servers, again because they are too busy.
I have a 22 inch widescreen monitor. The sitepal website does not support widescreen monitors. Keep warning me that my display settings must be at least 800 by 600. My display settings are 1650 by 1050.
The create screens only display part way and since they have no scroll bars, I can not even go through all the steps to create a SitePal.
I like the idea of sitepal, but with no servers, and with no support for widescreen monitors and no scroll bars for those who have them, sitepal needs to be updated badly. As it stands now I can not do any pal editing
I managed to create one sitepal and get it working on ebay and facebook, but not on my space. And the embed on website code only works on a blank web page.
I am also going to send this post to tech support, but wanted to post it here also, in case anyone has any troubleshooting suggestions. Thanks.
I read the User Guide, but it does not even have any troubleshooting sections.

Hi,
your report is surprising and concerning. I just duplicated a Scene - took about 2 sec.
There is no reason this should take any time - our servers are not under load - we maintain them at very high capacity to load ratio.

There may have been a temporary problem with your internet connection - I'm speculating, but have no other explanation. We are not receiving this type of complaint from other customers.
Anyone?
Please try again and let us know if the problem persists.

Regarding the widescreen issue - I don't believe we are aware of the problem.
Can you please send support@sitepal.com a screenshot of the message you receive? We greatly appreciate your help.

Hi Gil,
I have been trying to reply to your post for an hour, but everytime I try to post the reply, I get an Apache Server Error Message that your forum is not working now, and to try again later.
The simplest fix for the way the screens display is just add scrool bars to the editing bot screens. Or have the screens display a little smaller vertical wise on a widescreen display.
I get the display error message when logging into my account. Site Pal Web Site Requires A Display Setting of at least 1024 by ete. Your display is 800 by 600.
My actual display is 1600 by 1200 or higher.

Hi Gil,
I switched to IE8 last night. And got no screen resolution warning there, and copying a scene only took a couple of seconds. So will just switch to IE8, when I use SitePal. I only use IE, for sites that do not work in FIreFox.
Once you create a bot with TTS, is there any way to edit the TTS if I just want to change a few words. Or do I have to create a new TTS?
Since I am having problems with embedding to my website, but sending an email is working ok, I could just copy and paste the entire email SitePal into my website on a blank page, right?
I can create and copy My Space SitePal code, but I can not find any way to copy the code into any of my My Space pages. Where and how do you paste it into My Space?
You will like this. A couple of people who I sent SitePal Emails to, asked me who the model was. They thought it was a video of a real person. I used Catherine.

Hi All,
While I am thinking of it, in the next update I would like to see a save for the publish to email option. So after you have selected your email template and added what you want to it, you can save it to your scene list. And then edit it just like editing a scene.

I understand you had a problem in Firefox, and I'm glad you are able to work normally in IE. Please note however Firefox is fully supported, we have thousands of customers using it (I myself use it) - and we are not aware of a general problem with Firefox. After some internal consultation we believe the problem may be related to your Firefox browser configuration, or some corrupt files in the cache (it happens).

I suggest clearing cache and cookies in Firefox - if that does not help, try to install latest version of firefox (a good idea regardless)

Yes - TTS text can be edited. In the list of audios, there's an "edit" button next to each audio name.

Myspace - you need to copy/paste it into your profile - look into it, if you can't figure it out, send a note to support@sitepal.com - and we will help you further.

Saving sent email as templates - Yes! we have it on our list. Can't say when, but it will be prioritized for implementation in the next few months.

Hi All,
I managed to get 3 different bots up on my web site today. Both the embed and the floating options were working today. I did the exact same steps as last week and the SitePal code was identical.
Different, I was in FireFox last week when I run the publish program.
This week, I was in IE 8.

I put a Welcome Bot on my Home Page.
Made a Video FAQ page and put the Bot FAQ page on it. Had to do it create the FAQ twice. The first time vhost crashed processing the audio to my last faq question. So I had to retype all the questions and redo the last audio.
Made a Contact Lead Generator Bot and put them on my contact page.
